GRU Airport, the largest hub in Latin America.

As the leader in passenger traffic (39 million/year) and in cargo transportation (38% of imports and exports/year), 41 international and 5 domestic airlines operate in GRU Airport, a total of 56 domestic and 58 international routes connecting Brazil to America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

GRU Airport is in a privileged location, with 97 cities within a 90-minute drive, such as: São Paulo, Campinas, São José dos Campos, Sorocaba and the Port of Santos. Approximately 46% of all Brazilian importers and exporters are located within 150 km from the airport.

As one of the main international airports in the world for passengers and cargo, easy access plays an important role in our development plans.  External transportation and urban mobility improvement projects will contribute to make access to downtown São Paulo even easier.

São Paulo is home to 21% of the Brazilian population and generates 33% of the country’s GDP. It is also considered one of the most sought after destination by tourists in Brazil, receiving approximately 13 million people per year. São Paulo is among the most influential cities globally, and is considered the 14th most globalized city in the world, according to the Globalization and World Cities Study Group & Network (GaWC).
